Huh [&:]. I thought it would be a quick cheap in expesnive way for a new look. So it wouldnt work with food die and the tires still on the rims with chrome still on rims.

I dunno but I seriously, SERIOUSLY doubt that food coloring would pentrate, or stain the chrome, that's what your attempting to do right?

i dyed my rims withy they tyres on but i was going for black ivory colour and the were fine i just plugged up the wholes and ran a bead of CA glue round the outside of the rim looked good cause the dye didnt penetrate through the glue so there was a pure black rim with the silver rim along the outside bead

try doing it the fun way and beat your truck eventually the chrome will be off and then you can die them. or if yer that guy taake the sharpie out of yer pocket and put it to good use j/k. but the sharpie will work and they come in multiple colors.

sorry for the bad joke had to go there.

don't attempt to "die" ... that might suck... it would be more worth your while to "dye"...

Stock Savage 21 rims aren't known for their durability at the hex. They wear out quick so I'd be afraid to mount a new tire on them. Search Tower Hobbies for Maxx tires & you'll get plenty to choose from.

*UPDATE* My tires arent dying [:@]. I followed the instructions and let em site for 45 mins and as a last resort i put the pot onto heat and hope that that will penetrate my rims.

Yes RIT dye will work perfect for what your trying to accomplish. I must say it looks pretty good with the chrome too.
