Revo with rb tm323 question
I am concidering buying a used revo with a rb tm323.
It is just broke in so the rest of the truck is fine (drivetrain)
Howlong can I expect the drive train to last with extra power? Will I be spending hundreds of dollars in another few hours of operation or will the revo drivetrain hold up. If it wont how costly are stronger parts and are they even availabe?
The truck also has many extras (FOC, lunford Ti parts, extra weels/tire, ect) with all I will need is more gas.
The guy wants about the same as I would pay for a new RTR revo. so it seems like a great deal.
I really just dont want a money pit. If the motor is just going to rip the drivetrain to pieces and cost me money I cant afford that!
Any and all input would be GREATLY appriciated.
Thank You

RE: Revo with rb tm323 question
I've heard that the RB TM323 likes to rip transmissions and clutches apart, however I've also heard that the Revo's drivetrain is built to withstand some serious power. It's up to you, man... you can pay the same, buy a brand new Revo, then change out the motor... for another couple of hundred... or you can buy that other one... and hope that it doesn't break... if it does, replace parts. The truth is, once you get away from a stock configuration... you should plan on spending money on parts. Same with real cars... any true car enthusiast... and "tuner" would tell you... once you start messing with HP, better be ready for stuff to break! These trucks are only setup to withstand a certain amount of HP/TQ ... once you exceed that... it just depends on how well that particular part was made!

RE: Revo with rb tm323 question
The rbtm323 is a very very insane motor. If you have the money go for it. However expect drivetrain problems in the near future. Crazy powerful if you get it you will have plenty of fun providing you put the cash in.
