If your talking about the big block engine in a maxx then you need a .21 conversion kit. (I recommend the dynamite or xtm kits) The ae engine doesn't fit in like the other kits. The engine is shorter than other engines. The extending peice for the crankshaft should not be used because when you have to cut the stock crankshaft to put the extending peaice on, it actually makes the engine too short for the gears to match up when you mount the engine. Also the header and pipe don't fit right on this engine. So what you need to get to make it fit along with the big block conversion kit is the stock ae pipe and the clutch assembly for that engine. The pipe header and clutch assembly can be found on ebay for about 30 dollars. I'm not positive about the pipe fitting right but the rest should be okay. Plus adjustable pipes are made. that should fit an ae big block in a t maxx.

If you have the ae small block engine it should drop right in.

i have the 2.5, i'm going with the .12, it fits nicely(small, about the same as the 2.5), just had to shave the crank, was too long and was rubbing against the transmission.
