This is my second diff. I've had to rebuild now. Two months ago my spider-gears in the rear diff. striped, now my front diff. has gone aswell. Is any body else haveing this problem? If so what the h*ll is coussing it? And how can I prevent it from happening again, and again? [:@]

Most common cause is having your slipper clutch too tight. When your wheels spool up while airborne then slam back to the ground, your slipper needs to slip some or all that force slams your drivetrain and the diff is the "weak link."

I have went through 2 diffs fr and rr, I shimed them to take care of the problem. But then I put a big block in it and you would need aluminum diff cups because the plastic ones will split.

if your diff. starts to strip out you'll hear a cliking noise. For me it would hapen when I aplied the brakes I could hear the front cliking. Then soon enough just my back tiers were spinning no more power to the front. Vice-verse when the rear goes out, it'll run like it's a front wheel drive car.
