Got some of my hopups today. Whaddya think?

Just need to spray some polyeurothane on my new crowd pleazer 2.0 and cut the holes and it will be done. Plus i need an Axial Back plate for my .28 so i can run the dang thing. I'm getting too excited. It's not healthy.

Steven.

By the way...Yes, i know the tires are HPI. I don't care, i like them.

Hey dont worry what others think...THATS a nice truck, very cool. you'll have to show us some of your pics of the painted body later when you can. Congrades, nice colour cordination. Dont put too much alum on there though or it will start to get a bit heavy. Axial .28...let us know how that one goes after a dozen or so tanks...should see some slight power gains and smoother throttle response as the engines settles.

Oh...make sure those piggy back shocks are tightened VERY TIGHT, I mean very tight or they will leak. A small amount of thread lock also helps too...a very small amount.

Oh before I forget, brocbuster, you might want to replace those plactic shock ends for the alum bearing versions. they wont last long especially on the rear.

Thanks for the advise. I hadn't thought of that. Was thinking of next adding the extended 3.3 chassis.

Are you talking about the stock revo tires?

If you're a heavy basher...dont add the 3.3 chassis. But if its light bashing and the occasional informal race with friends at the local BMX track or something, its OK I guess. But thats alot to spend on a bash session though or an informal race with freinds.

Hang, you'll have to clean away mine too...nope, you missed it, try again...yep, better now.

That is some serious RC mojo there...WOW, very nice and the black rims look very cool with the red. I have the sam colour scheme on mine: red, black and silver, with a dash of yellow here and there.

you should take the traxxas engine brace off and put some oven cleaner to it to strip away the tacky blue and then give it a good dremel session.

Did you dye the wheels black or just spray paint them...?

Aaaahh damn, there we go again...! Whoa G, where's the napkin buddy its like Niagera falls here....just 2 weeks, 2 weeks and Ill have it on my door step.

Thanks Guys !!!!

The wheels are dyed black...still not 100% on the engine, it is down to two of them....

This truck was built from scratch...

Which two were you thinking about...? Engines that is...

With the dye...ill be doing mine black "Cool Bill" style with some form of dye. Just boil those puppies for about a 20min and then repeat it a few times until there is nothing but a nice black gloss.

You'll have to report the weight of the total package when you have completed it and what the weight biast is...! I took all the non-critical steel componants out of mine and replaced with alum screws, titanium parts and screws and CF. Then when the 3.3 VCF is here ill do another weight check and see how its ballanced and what the total weight is.

It's a 2.5 Chassis...Vantage told me it would be at least another month or so before they released the extended chassis...I couldn't wait so I ordered the regualr one, two weeks to the day I ordered it, they release the extended....needless to say I gave them an earfull...I am a dealer for them and they couldn't even give me the skinny....so I was pretty pissed...but they are good guys and I know they will take care of me with some "stickers" or something on my next order....lol

I am going BB with this one....possibly an RB Modded Picco .27 or another Engine that I am still researching....

Will def update you guys with progress pics...and videos of it running....

I was either thinking about an EB modded team PICCO .28 - has the turbo head and its a bump start; or the Novarossi NR528XR * Port Hot Mod by Jim Hottinger, very nice. 40% off deal...oooohh, now I'm tempted.

today i ordered some new stuff for the revo. I got xtremes lo profile 3.3 body,cf brake disc, cf rear hinge pin support, cf throttle servo mount, i also got the vantage extended cf chassis. Not mention i received today robinson steel gears , tekno tank conversion with a hellfire 150 cc tank, integy steering arm pin mount, and mip clutch. I will post pics when everything is together. Where is the best place to mount the receiver battery? Got pics? also I saw steve slaydens center tank mod in car action and was wondering if anybody knew if traxxas is releasing that conversion or will it have to be a custom thing?

The new picco .28 is actually the second motor I am considering....and the Nova is an awesome motor, but too pricey for me right now......

I am having the Picco .27 and .28 RB Modded as I type this, so I guess I will make the decision when I get them back next week....
