ok im still having major problems with my maxx 2.5 ok well igot a 2.5 r for it i cant get it to run i swear ive tried everything so then my freind gave me his 2.5 so i threw my goodies on there from my 2.5 r and that motor was giving me problems so i threw my 2.5 r back togather and it still dont run and the dam thing is brand new what do i do pls help me pls.

p.s. sorry i cant give you guys some pics of my truck it is so cool i shaved my all the tread off my tires for less weight
added a cadilac escilade exv body a pro tuned pipe all futaba high tourqe servos and my own red paint job on some of the chassis parts and bumpers but i still cant get it to run and looks ant **** without the power to go with em' ya know.

seriously...this is user error. are you sure you put the engine together right, first off?

did you take the carburetor apart?

most importantly, check your glow plug.

ok,this is what's up ok i went out and bought a brand new 2.5r motor,for my used traxxas t-maxx 2.5,i got it home turned it over and it idald fine.I did not run it thought.Then i went to start it up,to break it in and it wouldn't start so i messed with the needles got it running, broke it in and now i try to run it and it either runs like **** and won't let me give it gas,or it won't even turn over,and the people at the hobby shop say they dont know.So i need your guy's help ok.

did you mess with the idle needle at all? the reason it won't start or runs rough is because its out of tune. what was the temperature difference when u got it to run and when you incurred the problems? you may have the needles totally out of wack. and just a side note, the stock settings are not always right, every motor is different and has it own happy spot

any time I read "messed with the needles", I can guarantee it's a tuning issue.....you need to actually understand what you are doing when you "mess" with the needles......put them back to stock settings (someone here I'm sure remembers them).....set teh idle stop so your carb has a 1-1.5mm opening when the radio/truck is on.......while you still hav ethe filter off the carb apply brakes and make sure it doesn't close any more.....then start it up and see what it does....you have to let it get up to running temp before you start "messing" w/ the needles......if you are new to this get a temp gun....it will elp you from going insane.....until you know what it's supposed to sound and run like you need a temp gun......

which hobby shop u going 2? try the one on 28th and clyde park, i like them more. just play dumb and tell them it wont run and see if they can make it run.
