sheesh!! did it again, confused with gear ratios!
man, I've managed to do it again I think. I'm currently geared at 21/70 with my truck, I added 7" tires and now want to get more torque.. I was thinking that dropping to a 21/64 gear combo would increase torque, but now I'm thinking that I've got this backwards..
also, I installed a 64 tooth spur on the truck last night and had problems getting a good mesh because the gear was so much smaller, has anyone got any ideas?

what do you recommend for gears? I've got a basically stock t-maxx, the 7" tires on it.. I'd like to have some pretty serious torque..
try the 20/72 combination?

Not sure as I don`t have a Maxx, I`m sure someone here can help. I would try the 20/72 though it can only help. Big tires (heavy) will suck the power out of the 2.5 even with low gearing.

This is a way to get your gear ratio.. Dived the big number by the small number. The smaller the number more top end (Speed). The bigger the number more bottom end (Torque)
20/70=3.50
18/70=3.88
Hope this help's some.
