I'm not gonna lie....Conditions have to be perfect and still it may not. If you are running the 2.5, get it dialed in and running good and make sure the slipper clutch tight. Tighten it all the way and the back off 1/2 to 3/4 turn and it MIGHT work. The 2.5 just doesn't have enough low end grunt. Every once in a while you will probably be able to, but not every time. I might be wrong but I don't think so. The 2.5 is strange. Some people have good luck with it and some people don't.

You guys make me laugh! When I had Revo, bone stock it could wheelie all bashing session long on 20% nitro. It has plenty power to wheelie!

OVer on the traxxas forums, only few people claim to have made the stock revo wheelie consistently, and most only after doing mods like gearing it down, changing the weight distribution, tigtening up the suspension, etc. The torque/hp curves for the stock 2.5r are like alot of racing engines in real life: not a ton of low end torque, but alot of high end power to turn the RPMs, if that makes sense. For this reason, as well as the motor doesn't have enuf power to begin with to lift the front wheels, you can see why the Revo isn't made to wheelie. If my guess it correct, while the 3.3R will have more power than the 2.5R, it will have a similarly shaped torque curve, and not pull too hard in the low rpms. Just a guess tho.

However, I just broke in my 18tm motor in my revo last weekend, and on the first pull of the trigger after heat cycling it, the Revo wheelied for the first time! This was on a pretty rich tune to begin with. Luckily I had installed the Tekno wing mount and Pro line wing, or else I would have been on my lid.

thats why i want to get an os.18, along with the craftsmanship that goes into those engines, the 3.3 sound good and all but its still a traxxas motor that is finiky to tune, not like the OS that holds a tune and is very reliable, very much worth the extra bucks if you ask me

when my revo was stock it would only lift one wheel off the ground then I put a 40 tooth spur and I could only wheelie in the grass or like txcamaro when I got really good traction.

The only way to stop doing wheelies is learn throttle control

What the hell is it with wheelies anyway? All wheelies will do is rob you of speed and slow you down. Give me 4 tires that grip and a jump baby!

Slap a center diff into the revo with the up and coming extended chassis, and you'll never wheelie again..... :-)

the best and easiest way to make a revo wheelie is get that crappy 2.5 off there and put a good or great motor on there like the OS 18 TM.

Let me correct your sentence " the best and easiest way to make a revo wheelie is get off that wonderful 2.5 that puts out tremendous power and put a good or great motor on there like the OS 18 TM.

i've got 40 tooth spur gear and 14 tooth clutch bell and FOC and close gear set and a TM, this thing is wheelie crazy. put a wheelie bar on and got it adjusted to keep front end down kinda, so when i drag race my buddy and his tmaxx i'll blow his doors off. but of course i'm sacraficing top speed but i'm gonna come outta the hole very quickly. if i can keep the front down. also gonna do single servo steering which will lighten things up a touch. it's got so much punch on bottom end that it will wheelie now while going like 10-15 mph. only other thing i wanna get is a trinity pipe and some ear plugs!!!!!!!!! second gear wheelies are common.

i took my revo out today and it had a bunch of bottom end punch, no wheelies, but very close, it was doing crazy donuts in the street, and taking off like a rocket, stalled a couple times because the low end was a lil lean, temps in the 220-230 range, i want to buy a set of worn bowties or crimefighters and make it drift

All I had to do to mine was a 40t spur and a real good tune. 40t spur is like $3?
