kasarn i see your running the vantage chassis and a side pipe. first question does the vantage chassis hold up ok with all the horsepower and does it tend to flex. second question are there any clearance issues with the side pipe and the rear suspension arms. last question is for any body do you know which majestic body steve slayden is running

Cvds, robinson racing steel gears and Forward only kit for tranny, and tougher diffs.

Wow. I can't believe this thread is still alive......much like my .26 MAX, blue head. 4 plus gallons thru it, over 2 years since I broke it in. Had to replace idle stop screw, and got a set of Boca bearings in it. I was a participant in this thread since the beginning- garnered a lot of good info on this particular motor. Still get out and tear around the park with my T-Maxx. Can't hardly call it a T-Maxx,tho-the only things still stock are the tranny case, diff cases and bulks.
Why did you have to replace the idol screw?

No Clearance issues with the pipe & suspension at all. I dont have that much time on the chassis to really say if it can hold up to the engine. But so far so good.

ok guys,i was told to come her for my .26 max problems.i just bought it and started to break it in.the first tank i idled up to midrange and the second tank was midrange throttle sweeps.but it started to make this strange noise like it was sputtering.to describe the sound it sounded like i was blipping the throttle extremely fast and the idle is very rough.then it will rev like crazy, hit 280' and i turn it off.it looks to be a rather early .26 max and heard it could be a front bearing,is this correct? i used loctite gasket eliminater on the carb and backplate but it didnt help.whats goin on here guys? im using the original revo pipe but can i use a JP-2 from my 1/8 buggy too?.thanks...josh

just to add another question what is the expected life of a picco .26 red dot and how long do the bearing last on the crank. i keep blowing the rear bearings in the 3.3 traxxas motors and am thinking of switching to the picco for my revos. and can you put a back plate on the picco and make it a bump start motor. this may have been discussed here already but this is a huge post so sorry if its a repeat question.

I don't know about the red dot version, but I've had my 1st generation Picco 26 MAX for almost four years now. When I had a leak in it, I sent it to OFNA and they replaced the casing and front bearing for FREE. All the new Picco's come with the new bearing and case. Good engine. WHEELIE monster![X(]

I have just got a picco max 26, I can get it to run, but itwill not stay running and will not idle. Could I get some help on where to start on the HSN and the LSN ? The paper that came with the motor is different than what the website on picco says.

Hi all, just bought two Picco's, a P2 .21 for my T-Maxx and .26 Max for the Revo.

The seller of the .21 recommended i give the engine a complete seal before dropping her in, can anyone give me any tips? Perhaps a small guide and tools needed? I would really appreciate it.

Also, its the T-Maxx/Revo drop in version, so i assume everything from TRX 2.5 should in theory bolt straight on?

Thanks and apologies for the necro post but i heard this thread was the best

Resurrection time......I know this post has been quite a while, but I'm in a fix. I am re-purposing a 26 max and my only option requires a rotary carb. ANy of you gurus out there have a good suggestion or even one that would fit just lying around?

Please can anybody help me with a prob? I have now got picco 26 max in my long wheelbase t-maxx 3.3, and I've got somebody to make the bb header conversion ring for me but I just need to find a header that will fit between my engine and rear shock tower. Does anybody know if there is one that will fit or will I have to try and fabricate one? The JP4 header that I have with the pipe is to rounded and it fouls the rear suspension tower so I need one that is a similar shape to the trx 3.3 header. Any advice I will gratefully appreciate (phew for the spell check). thanks in advance (fingers crossed) Paul

The .26 mid block is now replaced by the .28 mid block. Same procedure as before so it doesn't change anything. Uses the same mount as .26 also. http://www.nitrohouse.com/Force-JL-2...o_p_16050.html

Saw it on ebay for $157 shipped.

Default Picco wp3 .26 help

Does anybody know about this engine? I'm having problems finding parts for it. But I like that fine is an exploded view of the parts and what can I get to make it to where it's a pull start or a electric start. I don't like the bump box idea. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
