Default 40 series Revo looks so much better.

I kept wanting that big monster truck look and the 40 series proline big joe tires really make it look so much better. The pictures just do not justify the difference.I love my truck just wish it was a little easier to work on but that's the trade off for a awesome suspenssion. Can't wait to make it race ready when I get back from vacation.

Thanks.
Yeah it's clean I just got finished from a total dissasembly for cleaning. There are so many parts to this thing it is unbelievable. It took me about 8 hours to put it all back together. But now that I know how everthing goes together it will take me half the time next time.

Thank you.I got everything off ebay 4 40 series tires and 4 velocity 6 40 series rims for 82.87 witch to me seems alittle expensive for some rc tires and rims but I was thinking about getting a 1/8 scale truck because of size and looks but now that I have the bigger tires I am not worried about. So that saved me alot.Rc hobbies are expensive but I am saving alot of time and frustration getting out of my old hobby of buying and fixing/modding cars.

Does your underbody skid plate hit the ground before your shocks bottom out?Im wondering if there may be a problem with that.

I have not took a close look at it yet to see but I am pretty sure it does hit the underbody before it bottoms out even with the bigger tires

Here's the trick. With all 4 rims facing the same direction, mount 2 tires in the same direction and 2 tires in the opposite direction. Alternatively, put all 4 tires in the same direction, mount 2 rims facing the same direction and 2 rims facing the opposite direction. Then they can be used all forwards or all backwards or a combination and they can always form matched left and right pairs.

I had a set of 40 series big joes on my revo. They are great tires for bashing but, they suck IMO for racing. The tread design doesn't hook up good on hard or loose dirt, the tires are very heavy and the truck will drive slower. Now I use Profile 40 series bowties they are a lot better then the big joes for racing but they wear out pretty fast if you drive on stuff other then dirt.

Yeah I noticed that I mounted one backwards right after I posted the picturesOH well. They are alittle heavier but They should help out in the wet grass and mud.I got them pretty much for looks and bashing not sure if I am going to race with 40 series pinheads or regular size. What size do you think is best? Thanks
