hey, i bought a second hand revo 2.5r and it has been a pain in the butyt for me, mayb it aint such a big of a deal but im new
i got everything back to stock settings, but whem im runnig it and slighty increasing the throttle it just stalls, shuts off.
LHS is flush-even
HSP-4 turns out from closed
idle gap idle sounds fine when its on
according to previous owner 3/4 of a gal, of sidewinder 20% i am using same. before i check the OWB and it seems to spin great cuz the engine starts and everything.
hey since i got it second hand, if i am to maintain the card ( i kno how to take it off) with what do i clean it? water? oil? and what about the pipe?
i would appreciate any help, traxxas forums are messed so no choice i need help!

to clean the carb i use choke and carb cleaner. I had a 2.5r and it would run super lean and smoke... i sprayed the hole in the hsn and put the carb back together and it worked perfect.

He asked because some of us replied to the last one......check it out, your problem is tuning not an air leak. Factory settings are just a base, almost everyone will need to adjust to get it running. Did you get a manual or anything with the Revo???? If so read it. If not got to www.traxxas.com check the knowledge base and download a copy....

Check your other thread, there are a few replies that will help with tuning. Tuning is not just turning needles until things work, you need to be calm, slow down and take it step by step. Once you get it nailed down expect wheelies and hours of fun.
Check this link out. I goes step by step on tuning and even has video to show and to hear what is going on.

If it is right at throttle the LSN is more than likely rich. Lean it up 1/16 of a turn (clockwise) and try again. A good way to tune the LSN is with the pinch test.
Pinch Test:
Pinch the fuel line 1-2 inches from carb.
Count the time it takes the motor to die (1..2..die)
There should be a slight rise in the idle speed and it should cut out in 3-4 seconds.
If there is no change in idle speed and it takes less that 3 sec. to die Rich the mixture.
If there is a great rise in idle speed and it takes over 4 sec. to die Lean the mixture.
Make sure to do a WOT run after every adjustment. Edit - Also adjust in 1/16 increments, there is a fine line on rich and lean.
