Tower Pro Servos
Has anyone ever used thease servos? They are really cheep and have alot of torque for the size, so has anyone really used them or does anyone know what i am talking about?
I love hitec servos, but for the price the tower pro's look better so they might sway my buy, what do you guys think?
Has anyone tried the new hitec servo that has ti gears with 333 ounces of torque?

RE: Tower Pro Servos
I bought one of these on ebay two weeks ago just to try it out and when i put it in my Electric RC-10, it made my speed controller go crazy. It didn't work when i hooked it up with the connector reversed so it's not cause it was backwards. I put it in my revo and it's very noisy and slow. It also doesn't have near the torque it's rated for. It took a full second to turn my front wheels from centered to one side and it seemed to struggle the whole way. When i bought it, i figured, $15 ain't much so it's worth a try. Well, now i have a $15 paper weight. If you had better luck with these, so be it. I'm just speaking from personal experience. I then bought a HItec HSR-5995tg for $109 (retails for $179) and i love it. It has 333in/oz of torque at 6v and is fast at .15sec @60 degrees. It has a full 180 turning radius so it's nice for modded steering setups.

RE: Tower Pro Servos
I know these servos cuz they are made in China so they are cheap. We don't use them much here, becasue name brand such as Futaba, JR , Sanwa(Airtronics in EU and US) are not really that expensive. They DO have much problems, but some people say they are happy with them. The fact is , the quality depends. The servos they make this week are probably OK, but next week they come up with lemons. anyway, enjoy them if they are ok. they are cheap after all, even cheaper than in local market here.

looks to me like you could buy 5 or 6 and pick the best of the bunch for your monster truck duties!
