THIS COULD SUCK!!!!!
Heres my problem just got done racing a friend and when i got home and started to clean it i noticed a chunck of the carb was MISSING not a piece you can screw on, it was a the part around the edge that holds the air filter on. Heres some pics i know there not high quality but the red line show where the carb is missing and i just tried to start it after i rebuilt the engine to make sure theres no plastic in side of it, it dosent run so right now i dont know what to do HELP!!!!!

I had that happen to my carb. I just got a new one and my TRX survived. Can you turn the engine over? You would definatly be able to feel a chunk that big if it got in the crankcase.

It probaly just feel off onto the ground. You dont need to open up the engine seeing how it was running fine and it still is turning fine. Just grab a new carb and your off!

That part of the carb is inside of the filter base so it would be impossible for it to just fall off and get lost unless the filter came off with it. It probably went into the engine. Where else could it have gone?

Dont assume that it fell out and went somewhere outside of the engine. just tear it apart and look. I do like the idea of getting the O.S though as there are some of the best engine around. A .18cvr (only about $109.99 on towers) has more power then the 3.3 and is very reliable and holds a tune like no other. Or you can get the Tm which has nore power then the .18cvr does. Or the TZ for some insane power there all great engine.

It's not in the engine. He said he rebuilt it. It probably came off when he took the air filter off. I would make sure the glow plug is still good and reset the needles to factory to get it to run. Make sure you are getting fuel to the carb. Also take the filter off and crank it. Put your thumb over the air intake and make sure you are getting a suction there. If not you put the engine back together wrong. Or the carb is cracked somewhere else. If that's the case just get a new carb off of ebay for like 5 bucks.

i think there was still something in the engine because i got it going and gess what it ran for 5 or 10 minutes and the piston locked up in the engine i took it apart and there was metel shavings on the piston and the piston sleeve wont budg. i guess this is my last traxxas engine im not even going to bother with a replacment trx3.3. os is where my moneys going. where can i get a cheap won or is any one selling one.

I would not buy a used engine as they might have problems as well. As I said before tower's sell the them and for a good price to. You can get the CVR, the TM , or the TZ. There all great engine and should last for several gallons if taken care of.

Send me you motor. I can rebuild it and use it as a spare. I already have a couple of pistons, sleeves, and con rods for it. Bought a few on ebay for 35 a set. Didn't spell the listing right

I bet if you send it back to traxxas they wll replace it for free.............................then sell the NEW motor on ebay or here somewhere and buy the engine of your choice. I would stay clear of that ofna pic'd. my $.02
