u joint replacment

Default u joint replacment

Tore the front u joint out of my 2.5 t maxx last weekend and would like to know what is the method to install the ball into the drive shaft and trans output yoke without damaging the plastic.

put one of the pins in it then press hard on the other side and the plastic will bend out some and it should then slide in. It can be apain int eh but and if your using a screwdriver to assit for some reason try not stab yourself.

Thanks, thats what I figured just didn't want to weaken the new stuff and have to do it again if there was a better way.

I ended up actually listening to my wife and used a hair dryer to soften the plastic and they went together like biscuits and gravy!
