RE: outside temp?
I've ran mine when it was about 25 out before. Just block some fins on the heatsink with a sock or something so the engine still makes the temps. Also heat the engine up before taking it outside to start or you will have a hell of a time getting it to start up.

RE: outside temp?
ive had mine out in as low as 20 or so... cover the fins as was said and the truck will want to stay out longer than you do!....

RE: outside temp?
Heck when I was a noob and I really wanted to drive it. Me and my dad went out and broke in the engine when it was 4 or 5 degrees ferenheit outside. As for the do not drive it under 60 degrees who ever told you tha doesnt know what they are talking about. As for the do not race because it's below 60 is totally off. I think most tracks dont go really late into the season but I have never heard anything like this before. I have seen guys in racing even cut off some fins to get the temps up and things like that.
Now most racers don't run late into the season like bashers do as they dont bash with there racers. But yes you can run it in coller weather then 60 degrees

RE: outside temp?
yes, you can run a hotter plug, but dont need to... just wrap the head with something like a sock, or really anything that will insulate and you will be ok...

RE: outside temp?
You can but if you want your engine to run hotter then you would actually need to put in a cold plug.
A hot plug advances the timing of the engine and allows the engine to run cooler.
A cold plug retards the timing of the engine and actually makes the engine run warmer.
But yeah you could just plug the head of wrap some aluminum foil around the head. Or you could just buy a cheap head on ebay and cut some fins off the head and go that route. This will alow less cooling action and will intern raise the engine temps. Thats what I plan on doing to one of my extra heads when I run my t-maxx this winter.
