Default Wondering what is the best engine for my T-Maxx 2.5

I have a T-Maxx 2.5 and it is the first nitro powerd truck I have bought, so far I have swamper tires, exaust, failsafe, and a dual bypass shock setup I am wanting to buy a more powerfull motor and have been looking at the OFNA Picco max26, i am just not sure if this is the most powerfull motor I can get for the maxx without going to a big block or not, I dont want to switch to a big block I just want to be able to pretty much drop the motor in if possiable, let me know so suggestions on good motor's for my application.

Default RE: Wondering what is the best engine for my T-Maxx 2.5

I wanted a bigger engine for my maxx and decided to go with the picco 26 max. While breaking it in I stripped the button[:@]. I just got the replacement today and plan to finish breakin tomorrow. I think I kind of messed up the break in process on this engine because i could not get it up to good temps. o well, piston and sleeve are just like 70 bones or so. During the first few tanks of breakin, this enging wanted to take off!! The good thing is that there were no mods, just get the motor mount. Only thing is, some people have had some leakage with their front bearing. serch the forum for it.
