W/E u do dont get the hellfire RTR get the SS there was alot of problems with it and the SS fixed alot of those things up!!!! only downside is that its a bit pricey but if u get the RTR sooner or later u will have to upgrade half the car to SS specs

Ehh the hellfire will smoke just about any monster truck. Sorry man but you will need a on road car to win or somthing a lot faster than your maxx.....It's like a buggy with a .28 in it with the hpi nubs....Off road does not get much faster than that class unlesst you have a buggy with a more powerfull engine.

A t-maxx with the 2.5 engine will pretty much hit 40 mph on road....the hellfire will hit that most likly before you hit 2nd gear...but look at it this way, at least you will be able to run him over lol[>:]

If you want to have a chance at beating him, widen the stance on your Maxx and drop a BB in it.
Or, losen his wheel nuts, I'm sure you can think of a few things to do to better your chances

Your S-Maxx should give him a run for his money. Isnt the S-maxx 2wd? If so you should be able to run with him. I wouldnt worry so much now. You've got a chance

You could allways hit him in the head with your maxx, grab his revo and spring for canada?

well then you will hae no problem beating him in a strait line. 2wd is better for racing on hard serfices anyways, the acceloration is the key. btw, you should drive to montana and race my revo

Unless your friend goes to 2wd youshould easily beat him!
