Default tmaxx3.3 trans into older 2.5 maxx

Does anyone know or have tried a new 3.3 maxx tranny in the older trucks? Is the new tranny better? I have killed a couple of older trannies with my os 18 and picco 21. I plan on going to a picco .26 this winter, but I think my tranny is slipping the internal clutches so time for an upgrade I guess!

yes it will work the chassis is the same and it is a lot better trannsmission because it was designed for the revo (new design for a newer truck).

so will this trans give anything to the truck... speed, torque.... anything? or is it better for that it has stronger parts, and less things to break??

The Newer Transmittion's are said to be lighter. I have a T-maxx 3.3 And I've never had any problems yet. You will have to buy a brake set for it to. the new style brake system cause the older style will NOT work I tried it.

The transmission is better becuase it is not prone to failure as much as the older tranny. So far, I have not seen anyone with a 3.3 transmission problem. It is worth upgrading to becuase the reverse actually works, and the gears wear down a lot less.
