Default stalling problems while turning

i just bought a new revo 2.5 and sometimes after i go down a straight away and turn, my truck stalls, but i know the idol isn't to low.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Turn the low speed needle out 1/8 of a turn. It's a little too lean, and when ya release the throttle to turn, it goes lean and dies. Adjust the high speed needle so it goes like hell, then fatten it up a little more until it barely doesnt go full speed, then turn it back in a 1/16 of a turn. Then to set the idle mixture, let the engine idle, pinch off the fuel line about an inch from the carb, the engine should run about 5 seconds and die. Longer is too rich, and much less is too lean. Once ya get that correct, do another high speed pass, and make sure it's still good on the top end. If the engine idles for a while and then starts slowing down and then dies, the idle mixture is too rich. If it idles good, but when ya hit the throttle, the engine dies, the idle mixture is too lean, or it was loaded up from being to rich. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it dies because it was too rich and loaded up, or was just too lean to make the transition, so you have to watch the amount of smoke it's putting out to figure that out. Also, remember, when the outside temp changes, the tuning will change slightly also. One thing I would suggest you buy, if ya don't have one already, is an infra red temp gun. They really help ya with the tuning process, and occassioinally it's good to check the temp of the engine too ! If I catch mine gettin over say 270 degree's, I shut it down, let it cool, and fatten up the top end a click or 2. A stock 2.5 Revo should run about 240 to 270 when tuned properly, and should be shut down if it gets over 270 in my opinion. I have caught mine at over 300 a few times, and thats terrible for them ! The temp gun is only about $25.00 to $30.00, and will help you make your engine last.

Dennis i heard the pinch test is for adjusting the LSN not the idle needle...and its supposed to last 2-3 seconds and adjust the LSN accordingly....correct me if im wrong

The low speed needle is the idle mixture.

ORIGINAL: Dennis Flora

The low speed needle is the idle mixture.
Clarification:
The LSN is for adjusting the mixture while the engine is idling. The idle screw is for setting the actual idle. There are a total of 3 needles on most carbs: idle set screw, LSN, HSN.

I forgot that the idle speed on the Revo is set with the idle stop screw. I removed my opti drive long ago, and I set my idle at the tx, using the throttle trim knob. To kill my engine, I just turn the knob down all the way. Much better than plugging the exhaust with your finger.
My normal idle is about half way on the knob, that way I can compensate for engine temp as it warms up, which makes it idle faster... Just dont hit reverse until your stopped !
