1st gallon complete on Revo 3.3. Hows my engine look?
Hey guys, i've finally done 1 gallon through my new Revo 3.3 engine and I took it apart to do some cleaning and I decided to at long last take apart the engine and see the inner workings for myself. I was curious to know how my engine looks after a gallon of runtime. Im running 33% Top Fuel and I've been tweaking and learning these nitro engines as I go, so i've been learning on this guy. How does my engine look from your experienced point of view? I also included a picture of my ARO in case you wondered why it was so red inside and if this stuff is any good. Please, comment and suggest on what I could be doing better.

The Piston looks good no build up and everything else looks great you should have that engine for a long time

Revo fuel tank= 4.2 oz
4 quarts(1 gallon) = 128 ounces
30 tanks= 126 oz
So you can get 30 tanks out of a gallon if im correct sorry if im wrong i added it all up right i think

Aslong as your glowplug is gettin good heat its fine and as threadlock goes i would say RED on the header bolt's,The door where the crankcase is i 4got the name oh well sue me im only 15 and BLUE on the exaust and ez start

Your crank and rod look a bit too rusted up after 1 gallon. Mine looked like that after 4 gallons on my 2.5. Yuor piston is a bit dark for my liking, you are running just a tiny bit lean i think and make sure you use after run at least every other outing.

The piston can't rust, it's aluminum, aluminum doesn't rust, it oxidizes and makes it have kind of a dull finish. And yes there is ARO residue and varnish on it

I know lol my bad but my bro never used ARO on his trx 2.5 and thats how his assebly looke after 1/2 gallon. Then his wrist pins killed his engine from over-revving.[:@]

One thing that just caught my eye, it looks like the glow plug is ash white from the pic. now that could just be the way thats it's angled along with the flash of the camera, but if's it's ash white that means your to to Lean and need to richen here up some. Remember that thet glow plug is the best way to tell how your engine is running as it shows the tall tails of how yoru running much faster then the piston does.

Probably the flash, the glowplug coil is a light silver when looking at it in normal light.
