Help............?
Ok guys its been years since i have had a traxxas sine i hate the engines, but my friend just got a used one from a dope head.
I spent 3 hours yesterday trying to get it to start, after cleaning the carb, new glow plug and re tunning the motor and she started. now i'm having truble tunning the motor, Its a t-maxx 2.5r the blue one, wat is stock needle settings? his idile keeps gooing high then low, and also wants tostart moving when it starts, but i think that is because the spur is to tight.
Thanks pythonfan

RE: Help............?
hey not quite sure on that front but the hsn setting is 4 turns out and the lsn is flusf with the inner side valve on the carb body and if it wants to move when started i would of thought that it was the idle to low
the idle fluxuating could be because the needle stting (hsn & lsn) is not set right
btw set them in that order high the low!
it could be all down the not being set up properly my 2.5 use to do that then i upgraded
3.3 man the way to go so much easier to tune

RE: Help............?
Yes if it will not stay still the idle is too high.
See the traxxas 2.5R owners manual, this is very helpful.
http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitr...owners_man.pdf
Mine was VERY sensitive on HSN less than 1/8th turn between running great and too lean.
