I have a 2.5 chassis and parts with a 3.3 drop in. I know the new 3.3 has the new optidrive bulljive but come on....Who with a 2.5 actually uses the reverse? I mean the idle NEVER stays where it needs to be so everytime you shift into reverse its on hopes and dreams that it actually will go into reverse. Its probably more practical to go with the forward only conversion isnt it.......Who here swears on the functionality of the reverse. Sure its handy once every 10 tanks of fuel but is it worth keeping?

I have never used reverse. My truck came with a FOC. I haven't needed reverse ever really. I can always go and turn the car around, and if I'm racing I wouldn't be allowed to use it anyway.

I used to use reverse but recently I have been trying to have each and every run reverse free. So far so good, I'm getting my foc pretty soon.

im keeping mine for now, i like to drive up the sides of trees in reverse for some reason lol[&:] i will probably get rid of it soon though idk

Yea when i had reverse in mine it I used it just to mess around really.. Like jumping off a quarter pipe, in reverse...[>:]. Its kinda funny lookin when you do a suicide flip backwards/

I have reverse in all my trucks (LST, Savage, Revo & T-Maxx) and use it all the time. I also never have trouble getting any of them to switch between the two. All that takes is a good tune and remember to stop completely first.
If you don't want reverse, fine, go FOC but the implication that there's something wrong with having reverse is, IMHO, kinda narrow minded.

i used to use reverse a whole bunch . and then i decided to man up and use FOC.
FOC=Manpower
Reverse=wuss

lol i still had manpower with reverse. I used to be able to pull off wheelies in reverse believe it or not, and I have a 2.5

Well i've always had reverse, never seen why to get rid of it. I mean unless you are a hardcore racer reverse wont matter that much.

I bought my T-Maxx 2.5 not too long ago and I love the reverse function. Case in point: I was out camping this last weekend and decided to do a little runnin' through the woods (tall weeds, fallen logs/branches ETC.) If it weren't for the reverse, I would've been walking to "turn it around" all the time. Due to the tall weeds I could not see the fallen branches/logs....I think you get the point.

yeah i always use my reverse. anytime im too lazy to go fix it just pop it in reverse

i bought my first nitro mt because it had reverse [warhead]. it's great to have reverse, but it could be a bit of a weak link, so to say. my revos have reverse until it fails, then it's foc. personal preference, really.

I use reverse constantly when I'm out bashing. I have a tranny with a FOC and single speed installed but it only goes in on rare occasions when I get to the track.

My one revo just broke reverse so I put in the FOC. The other still has it and will have it until it breaks.

i use reverse all the time. like crispyspa said i dont want to go get my truck everytime i get hung up on something i just want to pop it into reverse and go. i only had one problem with my reverse gear being stripped and thats b/c it was bad out of the box. first time i used went in reverse it stipped the gear completely. once i fixed it over a year and a half ago ive had no problems

I did use it, until my Optidrive went insane. And then shifted into reverse will I was going WOT and stripped my tranny. I haven't used it since.

I use reverse alot but i dont race at all so i dont care about the extra weight .Besides the idea behind remote controlled vehicals is to control the vehicel by remote lol

I would love to have reverse but for me it just broke to easy and now I drive so good I don't nrred reverse. LOL

Now when they come out with something that flips your truck over after a rollover I wll get that!!!

i stripped my reverse gear, bought a FOC, then learned not to get in positions where i got to get out of my char to go fix myself practice makes perfect, but nothings perfect, so why even try

I tried it out a couple times never really worked that great for me... Then i put on a pair of 6.75" pair of crawler tires and as soon as i flipped it into reverse STRRRIIIPPPPPP..... there went my tranny... I rebuilt it 4 times before i got smart and threw in a FOC. Never had a problem since.
