this is a kind of tacky set up i've done... but while waiting for a tmaxx fuel tank to arrive, i have placed my spare revo gas tank at the back of my tmaxx.... between the bulkhead and bumper, used zip ties to hold it in place...i noticed once thing about the revo tank.. it's made stronger than the tmaxx's .. try that if you like. or get a alunminin one from hurricane, i think they are about $50

I actually have moved my RX to the stock tank location and installed a Revo tank where the RX used to be. I will look to see if I have a picture of it that I can post. This set up works for me.

I run a 125cc tank from an ofna hyper7. I have it set up where the RX box is normally located on the t-maxx. It's a stronger tank, provides more consistent fule delivery, doesn't lean out until the tank is almost completely empty, and has basically eliminated all of the tuning problems I used to have with my maxx. You can see a pic of my old setup in my garage. It's not remotely current, but it does show where I have the tank mounted.

that is the tank I just ordered:

you will need to lose the rx box and buy this to mount it:

It is a great set up and makes it easier to get to your lsn. The stock tank barely lets you get to the lsn. Its pretty stupid.

I moved my battery to where my original tank was and put the RX where the original battery box was. I dropped the RX box in favor of balloons, foam and zipties, and dumped the battery box in favor of a 5 cell pack that is zip tied to the chassis.

Since then, I've moved things around again, now I have a 5 cell flatpack where the original battery box was, the RX is where the original gas tank was and the ofna tank is where the original RX was.

definately reccomend the ofna tank mod it fit nicely and you get a longer run time which is always good

And the OFNA tank gets rid of the lean condition the stock one creates.
