We just got back from the local road track and my electric stampede clocked in at 66mph today.

Thats fast...especially for a 1/10th scale. I don't think I've hit that yet with my Mini-T. I need to find a cop nice enough to clock it. I would like to see a video of your truck if you can post it on here.

I dont have video of it yet but it is smokin stock nitro truck's and then some on the track and ppl just fall out laughin because it's elec. until they see the Brushless mamba sys. I will get video soon

How are you runnin a brushless and an xl10 esc together, interesting?

I call this garbage until you can prove it. The fastest anyone has gotten a mamba in a stampede up to is around 62 mph and that was over geared and over powered.

Rework the wiring first. Run compatable harness and wire's I have a few secrets in my Stampede I work for the Power company and we all tweaked it and as I said it was clocked at 66 mph.

Well I surely dont believe you for 1 because you have a XL-10 ESC which is for brushed motors and you state you have a mamba max. so unless you figured out how to run a BL motor with a Brushed ESC I WILL NOT BELIEVE. and it is not possible.

Okay to set the record straight for you non believers. I WILL POST A VID next time I run it. I know that the XL-10 will not work if it has stock wiring for the Mamba systems. I am a Journeyman Lineman for the Walton EMC and I know what I'm talking about. I dropped the Mamba Max in, took apart the XL-10, seeing as how its set up for motors like the Titan500. Then I ran the wires that are compatable with mamba max through my XL-10 and made all harnesses match as well. I also used my knowledge as a high voltage lineman to tweek the XL-10 so it is compatable with the Brushless motor. I will not argue this topic again. I will however post a video of my Stampede this weekend after we run it at the track and clock it once again.

You being a journeyman lineman in no way qualifies you to modify a brushed esc to run a brushless motor. I am a facility manager for a manufacturing company and have a journeyman electrician who works for me and has over 30 years experience but he has no clue when it comes to our electronic control systems. That is why I have two electronics technicians that work for me also. In other words it is my duty to know what a persons capability is and use it accordingly for the benefit of my company, which is why I have specific people for specific jobs.

There is no simple tweeking you can do to mod a brushed esc to run brushless. It involves different circuitry and computer programming.

I would also like to know how exactly you "clocked" your speed.

That's an amazing speed. The best I've been able to get out of mine is 62.8. I've modded it pretty heavily, too. What size bearing are you using? Stock Tires? What's the kv on the motor? How did you get the front end to stay down?

It has to do with my knowing of who is qualified for what and also illustrates that I being over this department have experience with electronic systems. Not hard to figure out.

A/C high voltage power systems and ESC's have nothing in common, besides electricity. Also noting that DC and AC power function and act much differently than each other, they have less in common.

How about answering grayta's questions at least since you are so bothered by me?
