Default Race tire treads?

Hey guys I'm going to enter my Revo 3.3 in my first race this weekend. I went to the track and watched them last weekend and it looked good. My question is of course about the correct tires. I have a set of Proline Crimefighters which I think, seem to be my best option. They of course water the track to keep the dust down, however inevitably it gets loose again in a few laps. It looks like I need a tire with grip, but not too much, so I can whip it around a bit. Or am I wrong? I also have a set of Proline mulchers with very aggressive tread. Which of the 2 would you use this weekend? And what personally is your favorite to use other than what I have to choose from? Thanks!

I have 40 series and normal of both. The track rules are very loose. So I suppose they'd let me run forties.

I'd go w/ the normal ones, they are narrower which gives you better turning, and most likely lighter for better acceleration and speed...but if it's your first time, you'll just have to worry about staying on the track!! It's a ton of fun though, and good luck!

my sporttraxx do REALLY well when the track is damp. Our track is like yours and gets dusty very quickly. Sporttraxx are the best when damp. But when dry the CF's hook up amazingly at our track.

Yes it's hard packed. I ran my regular Proline Mulchers. They were a good choice, as my heat was the fourth race and by then the water was out of the track. I ran pretty well for my first race. I finished second in the main, and won a heat race. Their weren't alot of people there this time, I suppose because of the heat and humidity. Sweated my b***s off! It was a great learning experience. Had a good time!
