RE: turbo and non tubro Plug/Motors
i was told by the guys at my hobbytown that a turbo has a smoother throttle response and powerband than a standard engine. also some big blocks have a turbo head option if it already has a standard head

RE: turbo and non tubro Plug/Motors
advantages: just a smoother powerband and throttle response
disadvantages: shelling out for something that you really dont need even if you race

RE: turbo and non tubro Plug/Motors
turbo plugs have a lot more advantages then just a little smoother power band, they are a lot more convenient because they do not have washers, the use a taperd seat instead to seal the combustion chamber, they give the combustion chamber a much smoother profile giving you slightly more power, better high RPM efficiency from the smoother shape of the combustion chamber, and turbo plugs are not that much more expensive then standard (here an O.S #8 is $8 which is a standard plug and an RB No' 6 is $10 which is a turbo plug), in racing a turbo head engine is a huge advantage, particularly the extra power and smoother power band.
two examples of turbo head engines that can be used in a revo/maxx are the O.S .18 TZ and the RB concepts TM523
two examples of standard head engines that can be used in the revo/maxx are the O.S.18 TM and the Picco .26 max.
