Default Trouble Starting

just got a T-MAXX 3.3. i charged everything and put my battery into the ez start (hav a 3000mah ni-mh 7.2v) plugged the controler into the car. it turns but it wont start, jus floods the #$%#in motor. The instructions say that i can use either a ni-cad or a ni-mh. now can any1 tell wat they think?

now 2morrow im gonna charge the battery again and try 1 more time(killed by runnin it in my rusty).

first check the glow plug wire lead for fraying or being completly cut. if thats not it cheack the glow plug itself, if that doesnt solve it check you needle settings, also look at the piston and sleeve for any premature wear. if all else fails look for the infamous airleak. all of these are liable for your no-go engine.

i just use a dynamite dyna-fun 1500 mah 6-cell ni-cd. did you check the wires to the starter? make sure it's not flooded, that will cause the motor to lock up

are you getting fuel to the carb? and you say it will turn over but not starting try takeing off the glow wire and put on a glow ignitor and see if it'll start. if your not getting fuel to the carb, blow in the exhaust pressure line, from the muffler. with the carb open. thats to push fuel to the carb

i use a nut driver for the glowplug, maybe lean the low needle alittle to help it not flood. do you have a glowplug ignitor? if not take the plug out and hook up the wire to it and lay it on the head, make sure it's touching the metal and see if it's glowing when you turn the motor over. it sounds like your getting to much fuel and not enough fire
