Default Which way does the piston notch face?

What's up guys, I pulled my OS .18TM apart to replace the stock bearings with ceramic ones but I forgot which way the piston notch faces. Towards the crank or the back plate? I'm pretty sure if faces the back plate, but want a second opinion. Thanks

just to make sure we are on the same page... are you talking about the sleeve alignment notch or the piston notch/cut out.

Did you toast the stockers? Or are you doing the bearings for other reasons?

sorry, edited my post above. I decided to upgrade to boca ceramic bearings. The front bearing was leaking and after a closer inspection I found it wasn't turning smoothly. So yeah it was cooked. Here is a pic pointing out what notch i'm talking about. That way there is not confusion. Thanks for your help
