Looking for answeres on P-3 Rockers??
Hello Everyone
I did the normal search for threads on here and I have usually done well with these but eather most people are not useing them or I am not putting in the right answer in for my question. I am setting up my revo for a small track and was trying to figure out if the P-3 rockers would work better for me or to just use the P-2 rockers. This is a realy small track at my local hobby shop they do not do refueling dureing the races and do not have large jumps the biggest jump might get you 3 feet of air and it is for the most part smooth hard packed sandy soil with a light dusting of sand that gets more built up as the race day goes on.
My question is instead of doing the normal change springs and shock oil and some other stuff that I have found other people do could I start with the P-3 rockers and save a little buy useing them for a track of this type?
If some of you have tried these Id love to have some feedback on the likes and dislikes of these rockers.
Thank You In Advance
Chris

The P-3 rockers are used for mainly street and thats it. Any type of jumping(even around 3 feet) will probably bottom out the shocks. The P-2's offer a little more travel. The track I run at sounds like yours(no refueling during racing, very smooth, only gets a little dusty). Its because its hard packed clay. Mine has a couple more jumps though. I run P-2 rockers because of that. Go with the P-2 rockers. You can't go wrong with them.

I have a set of P3s and for the life of me I see no difference in the size of the rockers. I know they are suposed to be different but they look exactly the same to me as the p2s. The p3 push rods are much shorter. You could just buy the push rods if you want. They will lower the truck a-lot so their not good for any type of jumping.

p3's give the shock more of a mechanical advantage at the end of the suspension travel then p1 or p2 so when near bottoming out they offer much harder suspension and dampening then p2 rockers, for a smooth track they work well but rough tracks your better off with p2 or p1 rockers.
