I have purchased some adjustable clutch shoes for my tmax 3.3.the kit comes with set screws and I was wondering when I add weight (set screws) does this make the engagment higher are lower? I want my truck too come out of the hole hard and was wondering how much weight to run? Thanks

Heavier shoes will engage at a lower RPM, and that engagement will have less 'kick'. A lighter spring does the same thing.

Lighter shoes will engage at a higher RPM, allowing the engine to be producing more power when it locks-up, giving a snappier engagement and launch. A stiffer spring does the same thing.
