i just got a tmaxx 2.5 and there are alot of missing things. the worst thing is the tranny. would i be able to put a 3.3 tranny into the 2.5 maxx

Not sure about the difference in trannies but get the 3.3 tranny if you can because of the different ratios that makes it run faster.

The only diffrence with the ratio's is that the 3.3's come with a wide gear ratio standard. This meaing there is a bigger difference in the gears which is what makes that jolt of power when it shifts into secound. The only problem is if you tried using this in a tight track(which is what where gonna build in his backyard) the jolt of power will throw the track off track and make it uncontrollable thro turns. knowing his driving it might just help tho...

The T-Maxx transmissions are interchangable 2.5 to 3.3 w/o modifications

I don't think a Revo tranny (either the 2.5 or the 3.3) will go in a Maxx unless you make it fit. In other words, it's not a direct replacement
