it would prolly work excellently in the snow as it would lubricate the drum the moves the track better than sand does =3

Wow.. this is awesome.
Up here in canada, we have a lot of snow these days and I was planning on doing the same as you to have some fun with my T-Maxx in the snow.
I was wondering how does the mattracks handle the power of a nitro engine? From your videos, it seems to be quite good, but after a few months, is it still running fine? Did you break any parts?
If I ever get this to work, I will post a video on youtube of my T-Maxx in the snow, should be a lot of fun
Please give me some feedback so I know if it's worth ordering the mattracks... Before spending too much money, I want to be sure it wont break too easily.
I was also thinking of changing my stock gear ration to maybe a 15 of 14 teeth pinion on the clucth bell to lower the speed on the tracks and get more torque to handle the snow, what do you guys think of the idea?

I have just ordered my set of tracks for my t-maxx [8D] . I just have a coupla questions about them. Can you easily remove them to switch back to the regular wheels? can you post a close up pic of how you did the track stop?

Yea does, but it looks freekin queer, gotta call it ugly betty or somfing ! hahaha nice job mate, should be interesting a video, you are obviously going to loose speed but a video in sand or snow would be pretty cool.

...A lot of people play with their MT's in the sand, snow, mud etc... if someone could manufacture a kit for these, I think I would buy it.

i bring necro to life!! hey all, within the next 2 months i'll have me an e-revo and im gonna attempt to put my tracks on it and shoot some video wish me luck? and also, anyone else have any luck putting them on there trucks? i've taken one of the wheel nuts to homedepot and it turns out that for a much smoother fit use 10-3/16 coupling nuts with some blue locktight to keep them from spinning off, though the 10-32 still works fine. i just hope the studs on the e-revo are roughly the same, or im gonna have to jerryrig something to make it work XD oh well, heres to happy attempts!

I have to wonder how long those will last though. Anything from radioshack is disposable.

$80 is a decent set of wheels and tires. They wear out after a while too.

the tracks are rubber and the body of them is pretty hard plastic so they may last for some time.

RE: i figured out how to attach mattracks tracks! cheaply and easily!
I was inspired by tour video on youtube. I went to Radioshack, (Circuit City) in Canada, yesterday and inquired about the track kits. Although they've discontinued the line, they still had about 25 sets of 4 available to order in at a cost of $35.00 per set. I was in the process of ordering a set when the owner passed by and said he had some in the back from warrenty replacements. Apparently Radioshack charges him more to fix broken units than he buys them for, so he just writes off certain units and replaces them at his option. The units he had were for a Polaris RC model. The front units were rockered and the back ones were flat on the ground. What I immediately noticed was that the front units were idlers only, no drive hexes or sprockets. I also figured I could adapt the sprockets from the rear units to fit the front ones. After the owner searched a bit, he came up with 2 front tracks and 4 back tracks. $40.00 later I walked out of the store. A couple hours later at home I had all 4 tracks driving. I also stopped by the hobby store and bought a set of 12mm aluminum hex drives from HPI for $7.00. I have to drill them out to go on the revo axel. I've got a couple ideas on track anti rotation stops but I'll have to see after I run them first. I'm really thinking the 3.3 engine is gonna be too much for these things. If that's the case, I'll fit them to my sons old Radioshack Aftershock truck he's had for years. I can't see these things really outperforming a good set of traction tires on a revo but they sure look cool. I've got 3 revos so even if ones just for goofing around with the tracks, it's kinda fun. I'll let you know how things progress. As for videos, I'm kinda computer retarded so Í doubt I could post any even if I had the camera charged.
