Default Tuning?

Hey guys, i just joined this forum a few minutes ago and i need some help. I have a T-maxx 2.5 and it always goes out of tune and would somebody mind giving me the carb settings on the low and high speed needles? I love driving rc cars and i have been out of it for a while and i just got my truck running again and i am in love with the hobby again. Thanks for the help

i think its 4 turns out on the LSN and flush with the HSN...or the other way around...not quite sure. check out the traxxas forum and look up the carb settings.

4 turns out on the high speed needle, flush on the low speed needle, and .5mm gap on the idle screw. (factory settings are usually a bit rich.)

if you lose your tune everytime you run the truck, chances are you have a motor leak.

no fox, thats just typical TRX engines there, and air leak would prevent him from ever getting it in tune, the stock settings are 4 turns out on the high, 1.75 turns out on the low and .7-1mm gap from the carb slide to the body.

Keep in mind that those are the factory settings which are not intended to be normal operating settings. Those are simply starting points for tuning the enine.

GOOD IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now the parents will let me buy the RB523!!!!! but i wanna hold onto the 2.5 for a little wile longer get my moneys worth first ( i have had my trx 2.5 for 3 yrs and runs like new did i get a super engine)? lol i have been waiting for it to break for like 2yrs now and it just wont give up!!!! i think im going to do something cool with is 1st like jump it into a pond or something cool like that any ideas? or ill try and hydroplane across a shallow pond and see how that goes.... ALL IDEAS WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!! (only want to damage the engine not the whole truck) i dont care about the elec. equipment ill seal it up so its waterproof....

thansk mr. ttoks. i have realized that you love your RB and you would also want others to have the great engine. but i think ill have to sick with the picco...cuz 40 bucks more is quite a lot...well, my point is, i would DEFINITELY get the RB if i could..if i see good price, i might considered thanks.
