Revo 2.5 running oversized wheels/tires
I just installed Ofna 17mm adapters on my son's Revo. I installed HPI Tremor wheels and Goliath Tires. They are oversized wheels (115mm) so I had to use the Goliath tires. I haven't run them yet because of lousy weather.
Will there be any ill effects of running such big wheels on a 2.5 Revo? Will the drivetrain need to work harder to get these wheels moving and to stop? If the stock engine wears quicker, I don't care. I'll probably upgrade to an
OS .18TM, but I'm more worried about hurting the transmission and diffs.
Any thoughts?

id think itd be a little harder on the engine and clutch to get those wheels turning, and of course youd be a little slower off the line.
but i dont think they would effect the drivetrain at all, its pretty solid!

RE: Revo 2.5 running oversized wheels/tires
Hey I just saw your ?. I have them on a 3.3 with the picco .26 maxx. I have the Robinson Racing steel spur/clutch bell on it with a M2C aluminum clutch.
Mine is running great. It pulls the wheels up even easier. Just have to have throttle control. It does want to tip in the turns easier so im thinking about getting the sway bar kit. Should help alot.
On the other hand you can run over anything! Its awesome. I would recomend at least getting the steel spur and maybe a MIP clutch at least.
