HAVE A TRANNY QUESTION FOR 2.5 TMAXX
[8D] HEY GUYS HERES MY QUESTION I HAVE A 2.5 TMAXX WITH A 3.3 MOTER I STRIPPED A GEAR IN THE TRANNY. MY BUDDY HAS A BRAND NEW 3.3 TRANNY. WILL IT WORK IN MY 2.5? WOULD I NEED TO CHANGE MY CLUTCH ALSO. THANKS. IS 50.00 A GOOD PRICE IT HAS EVERYTHING WITH IT . CHUCK.

you can fix your 2.5 tranny for about 8 bux....but in answer to your question yes it will work and brand new ones off flea bay are going for 55 bux + shipping..so yes it is ok if it is brand new.

If you don't change your diffs you will have problems there too. Some say that you need to change Shafts as well but I don't believe that. One other thing, your Maxx will drive diff with the 3.3 tranny, its geared different.

ok thanks for the info. think i will try it and then fix my 2.5 tranny in case i need it. besides it will be a good learning project. so is there any tips anyone can give me when i put it all backtogether. should i change the shafts or just replace the broken gears? thanks, chuck.

Hey I'm new at r/c's I have a revo 3.3 and a tmaxx 2.5r.
I need some help here with my tmaxx.
My rear tires have no drive ? is it rear diff ? or tranny ? how to check ?
It all started when I tryed to modifiy my 2nd gear shift point ? the screw never came out tho.
Please help.
