What are you planning on doing with it? Some brands have certain products that might be better then others.. I'm gonna vote for a mix.

Te best upgrade for an emaxx would be something along the lines of a Neu 15151y, Mamba Monster max, and 2 3s 8000 mah lipos. I don't see why people spend money on aluminum parts that don't even need to be fixed when they could put that same money into making their truck way faster.

What I've found when bashing back country, was the stock suspension is not adequate, and would recommend ungrading. I've also had trouble with skidplates. The Type 2 skidplate from Integy was not worth the money, and would recommmend something stronger as the aluminium is not thick enough to accomodate the weight of the truck while at speed. As for power, if you are more interested in trail driving, I recommend a decent set of 7 cell batteries. My personnal favourites to date are the venom racing 7 cell, 5000 mah, with traxxas connector. They are a little pricey but I haven't had less that 40 min of continuous running yet, and they offer plenty of power for the average driver. To give your son lots of power for wheelies, i'd just change your pinion gear to get the extra torque. it's a lot cheaper than bigger motors.

The RPM stuff is great. I have the skids and bumpers on my EMAXX. I need to get CVDs for mu truck too. Novakmaxx, why the TRX ones instead of the MIP?
