Default Shock placement question...

So i just got some pretty aluminum shocks for my t-maxx but they are pretty stiff. What is the softest way to set the shocks...theres three holes on top and three on the a arm...

where you place them doesn't affect how stiff they are, just how high the truck rides.

for instance. the furthest hole out on the bottom and inner most one on top will give the truck a higher ride height and vice versa

You have it backwards, like you said will give you a very low ride height. I don't recemend to do that though, you will bend the shock piston if you jump at all! Also it is in the manual for good settings!
