you wont short anything out by doing that, however im sorry but crystals on the 75 band will not work with 27meg radios, you'll need to get some 27meg cyrstals. i have a bunch of 27 meg cyrstals (i've gone 75meg fm) which one do you guys already have? should be color coded.

they did?
when?
all i've ever seen is 27mhz

blue,
you can try installing the 75 mhz x-tals in the radio
you won't hurt anything

weather they work or not, idk
i would think not but ????????

in any case
your lhs will have crystals
shouldn't be more that $10 - $12 or so for the set

It will work ,but you may suffer from servo twitch more.
lt will not damage anything to try it with engine off.

For one swapping 27 band AM crystals does work !! (transmit and receiver..old school trick from the 80's) It changes it enough that it wont cause interference..I say try it and prove me wrong..I just swaped transmit and receiver crystals in a savage and it worked..

lol wow,, did you even bother reading the rest of the post's before posting?

yes,, you can swap "27mhz" crystals in rx's and tx's that are "27mhz" the ? was if you can use "75mhz" crystals in a "27mhz" radio, in which, the anwser is no..
