Rather than start a new thread - which is a better setup for racing - 40 series wheels and tires, or standard series with a wide offset? I was thinking that the 40's give better traction, but the offset standards would be lighter and less stress on the drivetrain?

the 40 series add a bunch of extra rotating mass. this reduces your acceleration and adds a large amount of stress to the drive train.

for racing, i think you're better off with the stock size wheels/tires with the offset.

for bashing i love mine. great traction on grass, mulch, and they're decent onroad. i unglued both my rear tires today running my 18tm. too many wheelies i guess.

i asked him that a couple weeks ago. he said you just stretch them out. he used thin glue and they stay on pretty well. he said they''ve only come off once and that was because they weren''t glued with CA glue.

the tires will fit the rims , but they will be a little stretched
