Default revo wing?

Hi guys, Will a 1/8 scale buggy wing fit on the Traxxas or Techno wing mount? Cause I have the wing and I don't want to buy one if I don't have to. Your thoughts. Thanks

I run the JConcepts and it works well for me. I have pictures of it mounted if you want to see what it looks like.

Awsome pics. the reason for the wing is to protect my motor. I keep landing on it and doing alot of damage. (broke motor mnt, chiped carb. bent frame). By jaming the motor forward. Are the traxxas motor junk? Your body looks like it covers the motor better then my stock one. thought about a roll cage but they cover the same as the stk body. Your thought? thanks

I don't think the Traxxas motor is junk to honest, there are just some many people new to RC that get them so you here more complaints about them.. I prefer a Roll Bar over a Cage myself weighs less. I use a Roll Bar from www.newera.com , it works very well. The body is a JConcepts Illuzion Tango and it does protect the head better than most bodies. A wing does an excellent job protecting the head also.

when you get your wing it will protect the motor mounts and motor. That is one of the things I suggest to any revo owner (Get a wing)

I prefer the stock engine mount, I would prefer it break instead of something else. Most people stick with the stock mount with the 2.5 and 3.3.

I stopped using my savage x cause when I had a hard landing on the motor it would break the engine plate that supports the motor mounts. Before I gave up on the savage, I got a roll bar to try and protect it and it eventaully bent in and still hit the engine and broke plates left and right. The heavy weight of the savage was a big factor in why it would break the motor plate so often as well as HPI needed to upgrade it as they have now on newer models. My point is, the revo engine mount might not be the most sturdy set up, but from my experience its not as bad as you think.

The stock motor mount is ment to be a weak point so if you wreck you won't crack the tabs on the engine.

The traxxas wing mount in my opinion is better if your still running rear exhaust. It wont flex in as much as the ones that attach to the body mounts and not the top of the bumper
