Hi all new to the forums. I am looking into buying my first truck.
I have been looking at the 2.5 revo or 3.3 im not looking in to new looking to buy used.I have a budget of 300-350 tops.
Been looking on ebay as its the only site i know of any help would be appreciated.

BTW how is this site for buying ?

Any questions I should ask seller about the used trucks?

Hi, Welcome. I bought my 2.5r revo used. (250.00) and took my 3.3 from my jato. It made my revo scream. It couldn't wheelie with the 2.5r. now it flips on it's lid. Hope that helps.

i started out with a used 2.5r and loved it. the 3.3 is obviously bigger and has more power. and yes it IS noticable.i would try buying local so you can run it and make sure it works. try craigslist.com. i wouldnt suggest buying used on ebay.

Thanks I am looking at a couple of trucks 2.5 & 3.3 atm sellers have over 200+ deals and 100% feedbacks.
I have also been looking at this site but have no clue of how good it is to buy from.

Also would like to know are there any parts on the Revos that im gonna need to change alot or is it pretty good on parts.

0.8 the only diffrence in the engines everything else is same on the trucks?

Well I can say that the Revo is pretty good on most parts, however u probably will still want to have extras on hand for those "just in case" instances. Things like extra skid plates, a-arms, fuel tank(cause ya never know when ya might have a problem), extra gears for the transmission and the ezstart(just in case cause ya never know), bulkheads, front and rear bumpers just to name a few......As for the difference between the 2.5 and the 3.3; well I can definately say the 3.3 is by far more powerful and definately will do wheelies almost if not totally on demand...[8D]

You guys are not correct on the only differences is just the motor..Chassis is different, and their are a few more as well..The tranny cases are different, on the 3.3 you get the swept rear a arms, the center half shafts are different, 3.3 comes with P2 rockers. Different length body..longer..

the only thing ive had to replace on mine after alot of running was maybe 3 spurs (because the motor mount that i put it, it didnt align right), motor mount, and antenne tube, and also some glow plugs....2 to be exact.

I am currently looking at a 3.3 revo someone is selling on ebay for 375.00 + 25.00 shipping he has 99.4% rating New in box.

sound about rite for price? its a little more than my budget but looking at other deals this one looks decent.

thats a good price on a new one..Most shops sell them in the $500 to $550 range, Dealer cost is about $430..So a NIB 3.3 Revo for $400 is good.

If your going to run on a Track , get a low hours 3.3 Revo .
If your a Basher , get good price on a 2.5 , with low run time , $260 or less , and when you get that
all figured out , then upgrade to the 3.3 later .

I know I for one hope ur right about that(that its not the guy thats questionable) cause that would suck to pay for something.....only to wait possibly a few weeks or even longer and end up with nothing in the end; people like that should be banned from selling when it is discovered that they are doing that; again just my opinion....

Well for the break-in; imo; I would do what I did and follow the break-in instructions in the manual that comes with the truck; because doing it that way; u will know for sure it is being done the right way because the instructions come straight from traxxas.

i bought my t-maxx 2.5r used off of ebay and havent had any problems. look for good ratings.

I purchased a new in box 3.3 revo on friday the 11th from maverick-motorsports 6680+ transactions 99.4% good feedback for 400.00
recived the end of auction notice also a notice from them saying congrats and thank you.

I emailed last night to see when they will ship so hopeing by weekend I will be able to break it in and post some pics.

Think I been scammed been 6 days no truck no answers to emails and phone calls
I made the purchase on friday the 11th and getting emails from other buyers with same problems. also saw someone who made a purchase on the 4th give negative feed back and im sure more are to come. ALL BEWARE OF MAVERICK_MOTORSPORTS ON EBAY.

now i have to wait out 10 days before i can start a dispute on ebay and then god know''s how long before i actually get my money back.

so no new truck until i settle this but when i do i will be looking again to purchase a new revo 3.3

im so bummed atm figured i just post here.
