SCOOP!!!!!! NEW JL RACING .26 MAX Picco ENGINE !!!!!!!
I just heard through the grapevine that OFNA/PICCO are releasing a JL "Red-Dot" version of the .26 max engine. This will be our fastest Max engine yet by far! The JL Racing version is going to feature a new case and a head design, but most importantly it is going to share the "Red Dot" crankshaft design with the other JL Racing motors. The new crank will be lighter, balanced better , and will flow significantly better with the specially shaped red putty in the center. Expect better acceleration everywhere with a much smoother powerband AND a lot more top end!! The motor should be in stock in about a week! Installation is the same as the current .26 Max engine. You need to purchace engine mounts Part number 51530 for the T-Maxx or 51531 for the Revo. With the mounts the motor is a DIRECT BOLT IN. It uses your existing clutch, flywheel, pipe, and clutch bell like the current .26 maxx. The new motors part number is going to be 51225.

Sweet!! Do you guys have any vids to show the motors performance? Is the new crank the only new option on the motor or did you guys touch on port work too?

We do not have any video of the motor yet, just picture files. We have not personally tested it yet. We just have word from Picco in Italy and their testing. From what they have said it is F-A-S-T fast!!!! The only big mods have been to the crank. The motor isn't completely redesigned, just significantly improved. We do not have a price yet but we should by the end of the week, or beginning of the week.

The motor is a direct bolt in when used with the OFNA/Picco motor mount, so no modifications are required.

That issue has been addressed in the past. This motor will have a slightly different case.

and the 3.3 is a great engine for the money. I have driven RB's and Picco's and the 3.3 does pretty good next to them[sm=greedy.gif]
