RIP TRX 3.3
Welp, after 6 gallons of mostly trouble free service the trusty and cheap TRX 3.3 bites the dust. The blow to the head was a couple of weeks ago when my air filter came detached and some dirt got sucked in the engine. I broke everything down and cleaned her out, but the grit just sanded too much sleeve and piston away, she can't make any compression (sniffle)
I'm just gonna get another, it's just too cheap and too easy.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I can't say I know how you feel to lose an engine like that, but you have my deepest sympathies. It's to bad you couldn't bring her back to life. The way she went out must have been horrible. Couldn't even live out her full life and die of old age. R.I.P. TRX 3.3
To make you feel better, mine is still running strong. 3/4 gallon through it so far.
Once again, sorry for your loss and I hope you don't miss any work/school over it. Must've been a tragic event.

Another one bites the dust[)] It's a TRX[&o]
Another one bites the dust[)] It's a TRX[&o]
the fact that it's a trx makes zero difference
implying it failed because it's a trx
just reinforces the false impression
that they are weak engines
cc for cc they are some of the strongest
engines made
run sand through any engine
and you end up with a dead engine
no matter who made it

RE: RIP TRX 3.3
This man is trying to grieve here for Pete's sake!!! Don't turn this into a another your wrong about trx engines threads. Let this man mourn in peace. Sooth, my deepst apologies for your loss. I have started a commemerative burial ground for my 3.3's remains. You are more than welcome to burry it with mine if you choose not to erp. Again, I hope you come through this at peace with your loss. She seemed to have lived a good life. You will be okay and I am sure you may just even forget about the pain you are feeling now once you get a new one. I am yet through 1 gallon on my new 3.3 and oh how I enjoy all the wheelies and first pull starts. Good luck man!

RE: RIP TRX 3.3
All good here. It is fishing season so the revo is not getting the attention it used to. She is running great. Starts easily with the pull start and idles, accelerates, and flys with zero probs. Temps consistently 240 to 270. Of course I am still in need of new tires and wheels. I destroy them! All extra cash is going to fishing though so I am currently driving with foam exploded out of the tires but it is not hurting handling too much. This new 3.3 is crazy fast. I am very happy with the trx 3.3. This new one is a bit different from the first one. New head and from what I had read it has new bearings too. All good with me man thanks for asking.

Thank you all for your kind words.
howdy Fishkilla!
Well I went to my LHS and exchanged the engine and the new TRX 3.3's look different and I think the bearings are different. Who knows... but now I have a new engine to break in! woopee It's perty!
