A friend got his T-Maxx back from being serviced and they put the Forward Only conversion (#4994X ) gear/shaft in the transmission...but the truck now only wants to go backwards?

I thought the forward only kit was to eliminate reverse gear?

Is there possably a OWB in there that got re-installed backwards or something? I'm a bit baffled by this one...

We would take it back to have them "fix" it but he really doesn't want to deal with them anymore...[:'(]

When the forward only kit was installed, something was reversed in assembly. Take the trans apart and go to the Traxaas website

and look at the exploded trans view. Assemble the forward drive clutch in the correct way and the problem should be solved.

Study the parts and pay attention to the direction they rotate and the answer should become clear.

I can almost guarantee that both of his diffs got flipped around when he had it apart at one point, to check this, look at the appropriate exploded view and pay attention to which side the screw heads are on. I had this happen to me after I went FOC.

i would say diffs 2, i had a friend that put 1 in upside down and the truck was fighting itself....front and rear wheels were going oposite ways
