help with throttle set up
I installed my new OS TM .21 today and I'm not getting full throttle. I set the travel on the radio and it still won't open the carb all the way. It bends the rod so I backed it off of course. I set the servo arm back some and adjusted the linkage and got more but not enough and I had to loosen the brake, front and rear, tension to the point they are really loose. One thing I noticed is the part, I don't know the proper name of it, that comes off of the carb that the fork like linkage hooks up to is smaller than the stock one on the 3.3. It's enough of a difference that I do think it is causing me some loss of travel. I see where the fork like linkage is held in by a screw so do I take that off and move it's position and then reset the travel on the radio so the carb closes, if I gain travel in the opening position I'll lose it in the closing position so I would just set the travel to close more is what I'm thinking. Does this make sense to you guys? If not ask me and I'll explain it better if I can. I'd sure like to get this done and break in my new motor.

If you loosen the pinch bolt on the carb, you can turn the carb clockwise a few degrees. That should get you the extra throttle you need.

RE: help with throttle set up
With my 18tm I had to do 3 things to get the carb to open 100%...
1. Move the throttle bellcrank to the outer mounting hole
2. Rotate the carb
3. Change the angle of the throttle arm
By messing with these 3 things (took a little time and trial and error) I was able to get 100% throttle.

RE: help with throttle set up
ajb1205 was a huge help and I wanted to thank him. I now have full throttle on my .21 OS but I have a rear brake issue that I have to now work on. Thanks a ton ajb.
