well technically i think the 3.3 is a mid block and the most powerful would be the picco .26 jl red dot. The best for racing so i have heard would be a small block i think and that would be the os18tz.

yes you do the tm is a drop in but the tz needs a mount but it has way more power go for the tz or for about 20 bucks more get a picco red dot .26 it is a big block but it fits the stock clutch stock exaust and with the tx you need a motor mount also so why not go big 2.28 hp for the .18 tz 2.7 for the red dot ,the stock 3.3 has .93 hp so they bolth are a big step up and you have to gear it higher and beef up the drivetrain .

it is built to run the stock 3.3 manafold and tuned pipe you might have to adjust the buku springs but it will work ,contact buku for the proper spring settings with a picco .26 red dot and that pipe .I almost forgot i have the ofna mount but i have heard it is not the best one newerra makes a specific .26 picco mount that i hear is better, my ofna seems fine and fits nice but who knows after i run a bit .

Got an 18tz in my revo. It uses the stock mount. My truck is bump start so the backplate wasn't an issue. You may have to lightly mod the crank depending on which tz you use. I run the stock revo clutch bell's with an extra bearing on the end.

If your wondering about power, I run with the losi eights and other big blocks at our track. No problem at all!!
