most likely started out life as a 2.5 maxx, the sticker on the transmission is where they put the serial number on the 2.5's, they put it on the front skid plate on the pro .15 versions, that and it has a slide carb so it's a 2.5. The only other way to tell would be to measure the chassis thickness, the pro .15 chassis is thinner than the 2.5 chassis. The rest of the parts look like they are 2.5 spec or newer

yea i think its a 2.5. Are you about to buy it??? looks like the previous owner wrecked it pretty hard in the front. hence the front upgrades. I'd ask if the chassis tabs are bent in the front. It happened to me when i bought my maxx online. the both chassis tabs were bent and it didnt even have any skid plates at all.

Looks like a 1.5 cooling head, but has a slide carb and the 2.5 air filter, (my 1.5 filter goes straight up)
could they have put a 2.5 carb on a 1.5 engine ?

Its an aftermarket cooling head on a 2.5 or 3.3.Most likelya 2.5 (the displacement is cast into the engine block if the OP wants to know for sure)

.15 engines are side exhaust, not rear.

It was a 2.5. It had an aftermarket head on the 2.5. It has aluminum frontbulkheads, RPMfront shock towers and body mounts, aluminum frontlower arms, resonator pipe, spur gear, servos (including waterproof steering servo)and Icould be missing something else.

Ihad an old 8GBIpod Touch 2nd gen lying around, so Itraded that for this T-Maxx plus a toolbox full of extras. Idon't know what he was trying to accomplish with having different tires on this, but Ithink Iam going to change them back to stock. It also came with some paddles, but I live in washington and Idon't think I am finding sand around me anytime soon. Pretty good deal Igot on it Ithink.

I run two different styles of chevrons on my revo. The ones on the back are the stock TMaxx ones, and the ones on the front are the Proline version. The front has better sidebite, while the backs actually have very little side bite, so I can actually drift it on hardpack dirt(dirt drive).
