Shift Point Issues
Ok,,, older tmaxx with 2.5 conversion on it. I have got my shifting point ALL screwed up because of a couple of dumb reasons that I'm not even willing to disclose publicly. But that's really beside the point and what I need now is "help".
Does anyone know of a factory default setting for the shifting point adjustment??? Or if not, dose someone have one apart that they could check for me and see how many turns out theirs is set at???
I'm just looking for a good starting point where I can dial mine back into. Right now I don't know if it's been move a half turn or five turns,,, but again beside the point. I'd really appreciate any information I could get on this...
Thanks & Regards,
Rob.

RE: Shift Point Issues
Turn the shift poing adjustment screw clockwise until it is snug (Not Tight or you can damage the spring and cause more problems) back it out counter clockwise 7 turns, it should shift early at that setting (ease into the trhottle so you can hear the shift) then adjust it to your likeing. Clockwise for a later shift, counter clockwise for an earlier shift.
There are two screws in the clutch. The angled screw is the shift adjustment screw. The other screw locks the clutch to the primary shaft and it should be tight or the tranny will not shift.
