He really likes buggies.. so I haven't decided what to get him!! I have a budget of about $ 200.00

I been think about this buggy... the price is not bad for a 1/8 buggy. but I'm not familiar with the Brand.

LOL. Thanks. I'm well aware of those parts. I Have several thousand dollars worth boxed up waiting for a rainy day.
LOL that's why I only got the chassis and the titanium center shafts ($360.00) just for that. but I seen T-maxx (every single part supermaxx) run at wildwood N.J.

''Thunder on the beach'' and those truck are tough!!![img][/img] but they are about a couples grands a piece.[img][/img]

Yeah I am also well aware of the UE parts haha. Your chassis is a Thunder chassis. The predator chassis I mentioned above is another chassis that was made in a combined effort by UE and DACE. Here are my two supermaxx trucks. Both are being constantly added onto and I've got a few parts boxes full of new ue parts waiting to be used. I'm working on a hybrid dominator project now...it's a ofna dominator chassis and components combined with UE suspension!

Thunder Chassis/monoblock...

yeah i'd stay away from those really cheap brands. There's minimal parts support and they're not known for being very durable. I'd check out places like RCJunkyard or RCTECH for used buggies. I've seen quite a few lately going for not much $$.

btw i'm 18 and have been in the hobby since i was 12 (6 years). Still learning stuff too. I only discovered UE last year and from experience UE parts are the best of the best!

Whoa!! Cmerritt those are some nice looking chassis you got there!!! I don't know if they change the name of the chassis( I got it about 8 years ago) but back then if was call.. "Stage 1 chassis". your looks a little different from mines (the part were the chassis bolt to the bulkheads)
p.s Thanks for the head up on the exceed buggy I will save up a little more and get something with more support.

dug44...2 filters hold more fuel than fuel line alone so when you flip over, your truck stays running longer. also it is just extra insurance that nothing will get into the engine.

That exactly why.Just to make sure nothing gets in that's not supposed to in there and a filter on the exhaust side keeps all that left over oil out of your tank. run clean and long these cars are an investment  to some.

yeah, your not kidding...  I built my REVO from scratch...  Over a hundred in Tekno hop-ups, that are of no use to me....  Lovely.  I am putting about $5 more into it tomorrow and getting another filter.  That's a great idea...  I am syked.
