RE: Traxxas Summit
I thought you said something about the suspension detonating maybe I was mistaken that looks like good times lol. I wish my dad had one when I was a kid.
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
To what extent do you guys clean your trucks. Do you take it completely apart electonics out and all or just as much as you need to to get the really bad areas. Just curious cause I see some of your pics and your trucks are covered in mud one minute and the next it looks as if you just pulled them out of hthe box
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
I take mine apart about once every 6 months and give it a good clean. Other than that i just rinse mine with the water hose spray it down with some degreaser(not too strong) then rinse again. Then spray most of it down with wd40 and 3in1 oil on all the bearings i can get 2.

I have to replace the chassis anyways being cracked and all.
|

RE: Traxxas Summit
I'm sure there good tires but he wasn't doing it right at all. The stock tires would get up that easy.

RE: Traxxas Summit
O and kenny Ialso grinded the a arms down abit where the inside beadlock ring was getting stuck, and the ring itself. So ill let u know if that solves the prob with these wheels getting stuck....fingers crossed!!!!
|
RE: Traxxas Summit
Cool, let us know how it goes. I've been looking into grinding down the beadlocks but haven't given it much thought in the past couple of weeks, my old man reckons he knows someone who might be able to grind them down for me on the cheap so I'll have to ask him about it next time I'm talking to him. I don't expect grinding them down to fully solve the problem but it should help a little, as long as it doesn't cost too much to get it done.
